The Snugpak Bivvy Bag has been designed to offer the ultimate low cost, compact, sleep system, offering a lightweight, highly durable and fully waterproof shelter, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a more robust bivvy bag for camping out in. It also has an extremely compact pack size, weighing in at just 340g and fitting into a compression sack that’s just 16cm by 8cm, making it highly portable and easy to carry.
This bivvy bag has a number of technical qualities and advantages over other similarly priced bags, including it’s ability to effectively transfer water vapour to the outside, significantly reducing condensation and improving the bags breathability. It’s also equipped with a hyrdrostatic head that is rated in excess of 5000mm, which is considered completely waterproof. This high level of waterproof makes this military style bivvy bag a great choice for those who intend to use it all year round or live in regions of the world that see particularly frequent and heavy rainfall.
The bag is constructed from Paratex Dry fabric, a highly durable fabric that is specialised for windy conditions, providing great protection from the wind. Caring for the Snugpak Bivvi Bag is also straight forward, as the outer fabric is treated with a durable water repellent which is ideal for tumble drying on a low, cool setting after washing and periodic retreatment.
The Snupak Bivvi Bag has a tapered shape design, making it perfect to house similarly shaped sleeping bags. That being said, down sleeping bags, which are designed for very cold weather, aren’t able to fully expand inside the bivvi bag as they’re designed to do so.
One drawback of this bivvy bag is that sleeping mats have to be used underneath the bag, outside, which could be a problem in wet weather, but in all honesty it’s not going to be the end of the world if your sleeping mat gets a little wet if the bag has kept you completely dry all night. Another is the lack of zips, as all entering into and exiting from the bag is done by way of it’s drawstring hood, which can make getting in and out of the Snugpak Bivvy Bag a little awkward at times.
All in all, considering the level of waterproofing the Snugpak Bivvi Bag offers and it’s low price point, this bag offers a lot of value, making it a perfect, reliable bivvy bag for campers looking for a bag to use all year round, making it one of the best bivvy bags for those on budget.

I’m in the process of renewing my kit, Got to get it lighter.
Bought this bivvi bag, because of the weight and how small it can pack. Most impressed.
Quick delivery. It was tested in the Carngorms a month ago and came up trumphs.
